Back by popular demand, ASTC members, Scott Crossfield and Robert Long, presented the 5th installment in their ASTC-sponsored “History of….” series on March 7th at the IAVM Performing Arts Manager’s Conference held this year in San Antonio. Their rollicking presentations have become one of the highlights of this annual industry event. Previous PAMC conferences have included the acclaimed “History of Broadway and Its Theatres: 250+ Years in 60+ Minutes”; the impactful “History of Las Vegas: Ka-Boom!”; the revealing “Kansas City: Cow Town to Wow Town”; and the mostly factual “San Francisco: Shake, Rattle and Rock”. Scott and Robert’s recent presentation was titled, “Tejas to Tobin (or San Antonio and its Theatres: Grin and Bexar It)”. Scott says, “These shows are months in the making. We are crazy to do them.”
